Lightly Started, Ready for a New Direction

6-year-old Thoroughbred mare available to the right home. She was lightly started for track work when younger but never raced and has since enjoyed approximately two years spelled, during which she has only had general handling.

During this time she has been easy to manage with routine care including paddock moves, worming, feeding, and regular farrier visits. She has always remained barefoot and maintains good feet without the need for shoes.

She is straightforward to handle day-to-day and is accustomed to being brought in and out for feeding. She does windsuck, though it is not aggressive and has not caused management issues here.

She is a sensitive mare who responds to her handler’s energy, so would suit someone quiet and confident who enjoys working with a horse that is aware and responsive. Having previously been in track work, she is familiar with basic handling and routine.

This mare could suit someone looking for a project to bring back into work for pleasure riding or another discipline.
